DTH TV
Recently government passed an ordinance on mandatory digitalization of cable services throughout the country, by the 30 June 2012 all the four metros of India (Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai) will have switched over from analogue to digital TV. Digital TV box will basically do the transmission of the video and audio through the digital signals. It is capable of supporting various picture formats which will provide consumer better quality better sound and good picture quality on their television.

Way back in 1990 when cablewala started their business, He was the decision maker about  the channels your are going to receive. Not just that whatever poor quality of service does he provide, you have no choice other than accept it. Now with DTH Technology coming up in India the whole scenario is changed. Now the consumer can decide what channels he wants & various features such as DVD Quality picture and sound, recording option, Time Shifting option, etc.

DTH technology has transformed the way we view cable TV in India. Not only has this technology made the local cable operator monopoly a thing of the past, but it has also succeeded in bringing cable and satellite television to remote corners of the country.  DTH TV stands for Direct-To-Home Television, DTH TV will give more customer satisfaction and better TV viewing experience. Consumer are now looking to to compare the channels packages provided  from all major dth service providers in India e.g. Videocon d2h, Tata sky, Reliance Big Tv, Dish TV, Airtel dth, Sun dth and  DD+

Since the ordinance has been pass DTH players  are now aggressively marketing  attract consumers to switch from analog cable to digital DTH Services, DTH service provider  like Videocon d2h, Tata Sky and Dish TV are also targeting  to digitize the whole building instead of single apartments which are called Multi Dwelling Units (MDU).  The Multi Dwelling Unit is customized solution for connecting multiple houses within the same multi storied building with a single dish antenna to receive DTH service. Common dish is installed on the tarrace of the multi storied building which gives power to TV sets in multiple homes in the building that are connected through a cable. Once the dish is installed, the members have the choice to subscribe for DTH connection. Society will be benefited by as  MDU will give them clutter free terrace, systematic wiring, no line of sight issue, one single antenna and the cost.

HD DVR is another innovation the DTH Technology, HD DVR stands for High Definition Digital Video Recorder, which will allow the users to record high definition video of their match or their favorite serial.
